Vázquez responds to the slap to Real Madrid

A Spanish press report revealed, today, Monday, the reason for the refusal of Lucas Vázquez, the Real Madrid player, to renew his contract with the Merengue.

Vásquez’s contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the current season, as does Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric, and Zinedine Zidane, the coach, wants to keep him.

The Real Madrid administration made an offer to Vásquez during the past days, to spend it until the summer of 2024, with his current salary being paid, but he refused.

According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Vázquez’s refusal to renew it is due to two matters, the first is related to the financial aspect, and the second is related to a position that was unacceptable to Real Madrid management last summer.

The newspaper pointed out that the administration offered the duo Ramos and Modric to renew their contracts, with a salary lower than what they are currently receiving, while it offered Vázquez to receive his salary (3.5 million euros), and yet he refused to renew it without an increase in his salary.

In addition, Vázquez did not forget the position of the Real Madrid administration last summer, when they pressured him to accept the offer made to him from Qatar, as great attempts were made to force him to leave, despite his desire to continue.
